Screenshots and Markdown MCP server for Codex
Use the Codex CLI to configure ScreenshotOne’s remote MCP server. Have a ScreenshotOne account ready.
Add the server and sign in
Section titled “Add the server and sign in”codex mcp add screenshotone --url https://mcp.screenshotone.comcodex mcp login screenshotoneComplete the ScreenshotOne authorization in the browser. Then check the saved server:
codex mcp listThe CLI writes the MCP configuration used by Codex. You can also merge this entry into ~/.codex/config.toml and run the login command:

Capture a page
Section titled “Capture a page”Use ScreenshotOne's render-website-screenshot tool to capturehttps://example.com with full_page=true. Download the returned imageto this project's screenshots directory and show me the saved file.Expect a temporary image url from the MCP tool. The download is a separate step, subject to the project’s network and filesystem permissions. Check the reported local path before considering the image saved. URLs last up to four hours.
If the connection fails
Section titled “If the connection fails”Run codex mcp login screenshotone again if authentication expired or was revoked. Confirm that the configuration contains the exact root URL above, without an additional /mcp suffix. If the server is connected but the download is blocked, open the returned URL and save it manually or approve the download in your environment.
