ScreenshotOne MCP now includes an extract-website-markdown tool for text-first AI workflows.
The tool accepts only a public website URL, renders the page, and returns its cleaned Markdown directly as MCP text. An agent can use the result to read, summarize, or extract information from a page without receiving a screenshot or configuring rendering options.
When an agent needs a screenshot and page content from the same render, the screenshot tool also supports the ScreenshotOne API options metadata_content=true and metadata_content_format=markdown. In that workflow, the Markdown is returned as a temporary content URL rather than embedded in the response.
The new Markdown tool is available through both the hosted ScreenshotOne MCP server and the local command-line MCP server.
