We upgraded the browser that renders your screenshots, PDFs, and videos to the latest stable version of Chrome.
Time zones
Chrome uses its own copy of the time zone database. The previous version had time zone data from before Manitoba’s change, so it didn’t know that Manitoba stays at UTC−05:00 permanently, instead of switching back to UTC−06:00 on November 1, 2026.
With time_zone=America/Winnipeg, pages showed dates from November 1 onward one hour earlier, for example, calendar events. The new version has up-to-date time zone data, so these dates are now correct.
Some names of time zones can still be outdated: for example, the page can still call Manitoba’s time “Central Daylight Time”. The offsets and times are correct.
What changes for you
Nothing changes in the API, and no action is required. Browser upgrades can cause small pixel differences on some pages.
