GIF generation is now smoother and more faithful to the timing of the original page animation.

What changed

We improved how GIFs are recorded so playback better matches the actual timing of frames produced by the browser.

That means animated GIFs are less likely to look unnaturally fast or uneven on pages with dynamic content, transitions, or JavaScript-driven animations.

Why it matters

When you generate a GIF, you want it to look close to what a real user would see.

This update improves that by making frame timing more accurate, which leads to smoother playback and more natural-looking results.
