Clearer extra usage on invoices

Extra usage lines on invoices now show how many requests they cover and when they were used.

On monthly plans, extra usage is billed on the next invoice, together with the plan price for the coming month. Extra usage lines showed only the plan name, for example “Basic – $9.00”, under the dates of the coming month, so it was hard to tell what they were for.

Now each extra usage line says how many requests it covers and when they were used:

  • Extra usage during the month shows the day it was reached, for example “1,000 extra requests on Sep 12”.
  • Extra usage charged at the end of a usage period or on cancellation shows when that period ended, for example “1,000 extra requests in period to Sep 24”.
  • Quantity: lines are billed per 1,000 requests, so the invoice shows how many blocks of 1,000 requests you were billed for.

The amounts you pay don’t change. Lines that were already scheduled before this update keep the old label.

Thanks to our customers for pointing it out.
