How AdaptlyPost uses ScreenshotOne to enrich its blog with relevant screenshots

The story is based on answers shared by Taras Shynkarenko from AdaptlyPost about how ScreenshotOne became a part of their blog creation pipeline.

A few words about AdaptlyPost

AdaptlyPost is a social media management tool. You schedule posts from your AI agents or straight from the dashboard, and AdaptlyPost publishes them to every platform on time.

Their customers fall into three main groups:

  • creators managing their own social media accounts;
  • small businesses, such as small rentals and restaurants;
  • mid- to large-size agencies managing social media accounts for dozens or hundreds of clients.

Why the blog matters

AdaptlyPost’s main acquisition channel is SEO and AI search. So, the team focuses on the blog to get cited by AI, attract customers at the top of the funnel, and organically earn backlinks.

But for a while, the blog was slacking. In Taras’s words, there was a lot of text, no rich content, and a lack of images. It decreased the quality of the posts and negatively impacted rankings.

How ScreenshotOne fits into the pipeline

AdaptlyPost creates blog posts in an automated pipeline. They research keywords and write posts with a high number of cited sources. Then comes the quality enforcement step, where relevant images are added wherever the context fits.

Free stock images do the trick for generic sections. However, AdaptlyPost posts often mention specific websites and their flows. A stock image can’t show those.

That’s where ScreenshotOne comes into play. Instead of using a stock image, the pipeline calls ScreenshotOne to take a screenshot of the relevant website and enrich the post with it.

ScreenshotOne became a crucial part of our workflow, particularly the quality enforcement step.

Build versus buy

Before ScreenshotOne, the team researched the available tooling and started building its own solution. But it would have required additional browser access in the pipeline, while cookie banners, modals, and other overlays would constantly get in the way.

It would mean spending additional developer hours and overloading their automated flow with infrastructure that has nothing to do with the core product.

ScreenshotOne was a simple choice that solved our exact problem without wasting time.

The results

The new blog creation pipeline improved AdaptlyPost’s organic rankings and AI citations. Multiple factors contributed: a new banner image, an updated date at the start of each post, and, crucially, more relevant images.

Readers now see highly relevant screenshots of the products and flows a post talks about. It improves retention and sends better signals to search engines that the content deserves to be ranked higher.

Advice for other founders

When asked what he would tell another founder about ScreenshotOne, Taras said:

Focus on what's important and what's not already solved. Building infrastructure and wasting days of your life handling all the edge cases is not worth the few dollars saved.
