When an AI agent says “the pricing changed” or “the signup form is broken,” the next question is always the same: show me. A text summary is easy to write and hard to trust. A screenshot of the page the agent looked at settles it.
With the ScreenshotOne MCP server, agents can attach that evidence to whatever they produce, from a chat reply to a weekly report.
How it works
- The agent calls
render-website-screenshotfor the page it is reporting on. - ScreenshotOne returns a temporary URL for the screenshot instead of embedding a large image in the conversation. For long pages,
full_page_slicesreturns several smaller images. - The agent links or embeds the images next to its findings.
- When the evidence needs to last, the agent or your automation downloads the files and stores them with the report, since result URLs expire after a few hours.
To capture the page text in the same render, the agent can set metadata_content to true and metadata_content_format to markdown. The report then carries both how the page looked and what it said.
Where visual evidence helps
- QA summaries: show the page state behind every pass or fail.
- Competitor and pricing research: back each claim with the page it came from.
- Escalations: attach what the agent saw when a flow failed, so a person can pick it up quickly.
- Recurring briefings: make weekly updates skimmable without opening every link.
Why use ScreenshotOne for it
Evidence is only useful when the capture is reliable. ScreenshotOne renders modern pages with ads and cookie banners blocked, handles long pages, and returns the result as a URL your agent can pass along. The agent stays focused on finding and explaining, and the screenshots come from a dedicated rendering service.
